Pumpkinfest in Cole Camp, celebrated its fifth year and over 300 attendees toured the haunted house at RiOak. In addition to the haunted house, there were food trucks and vendors on Maple Street, along with outdoor games and Spooky stories being told down at AJ’s Dairy-Bar.
There was a special Ghost and Poker walk and a Scavenger hunt that began in the Jaycee Gardens. Missouri Made got in the celebration by offering Caramel & Apple Cider Ice cream floats.
The decorated pumpkins and carved entries, sixty eight in all, were on display in the Jaycee Gardens by Friday night, awaiting the judging the following day. The Costume contest was also held in the Gardens
The Pumpkinfest in Cole Camp is always held the last Saturday of October, and as earlier stated, it is in the fifth year. It is the brainchild of Judy Smasal who loves all things pumpkin. Each year she changes things about to keep it fresh and encourages everyone to celebrate Halloween along with her.
