Results Are In! Benton County Voters Mark Their Preferences On The Ballot

Upon the closing of the polls from the April 8 election, the following unofficial results were informally furnished to the Benton County Enterprise by Benton County Clerk Susan Porterfield at approximately 8:40 PM on Tuesday night.

Although voter ballots did contain spaces for write-in votes, those are not recorded in this release if not voted on.

County of Benton

Question: "Countywide Sales Tax . . . for the purpose of improvement to roads and bridges, to upgrade equipment, and to upgrade, maintain, and repair county facilities and equipment": Yes, 960; No, 366.

City of Cole Camp

For Alderman East Ward, 2 year term: Steven Knox, 99; Sandra Schlesselman, 56; Kevin Calhoun, 8.

For Alderman West Ward, 2 year term: David Locke, 109; Robert Meuschke, 44.

Question: "Transportation Tax . . . for transportation purposes including construction, reconstruction, repair and maintenance of streets, roads and bridges within the city": Yes, 232; No, 72.

City of Lincoln

For Alderman East Ward, 2 year term: Barbara Hammond, 30; Trey Brown, 21.

For Alderman West Ward, 2 year term: Philip Fisher, 39.
