Robert Haley, age 90, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed peacefully on September 10, 2024 at Tiffany Springs Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
Memorials can be made to the Nature Conservancy or Sertoma Club.
Robert Leo, son of Emmet Leo and Emma Valentine (Bailey) Haley, was born July 26, 1934, in Browning, Missouri. On October 14, 1953, he married Mary Clapp, who preceded him in death in 2001. Robert later married Elaine Haley, who also preceded him in death in 2019.
Robert began his career at Kansas City Southern Railroad as a clerk and rose through the ranks to retire from Kansas City Southern Industries as the Vice President of Real Estate.
He was a member of the Nature Conservancy, Sertoma Club, American Railway Development Association of Kansas City, and the Elks Lodge in Warsaw.
Robert was deeply devoted to his family and community. He cherished spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Whether it was boat rides, gator and golf cart rides, playing cards, fishing, hunting, or traveling, he loved every moment spent with his loved ones.
Survivors include his three daughters, Gayla Twibell, Bobi Maddux, and Judy (Trent) Vogel; three step daughters, Kim (Ben) Amiot, Katie (Keith) Duerr, and Kelly (Alex) Kulenkampff; seven grandchildren, Jon (Shelly) Twibell, Cindy Twibell (MeganAnn), Marcus Moore, Matthew Moore (Shari), Natasha (Michael) Garcia, Carissa (Adam) Grossman, and Travis (Kendra) Vogel; 12 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Ardith Anderson, Madelon Silgalis, Mary Jane (Les) Akers, and Martha LoRusso; brother-in-law, Ronnie (Helen) Clapp; sister-in-law, Wilma Haley; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Roger Patrick Haley; two twin brothers, Bruce Haley and Mike Haley; son-in-laws, Gary Moore and Jack Twibell; brother-in-laws, John Silgalis, Tom LoRusso, and Ken Anderson.
