Presiding Commissioner Steve Daleske called the meeting of the Benton County Commission to order at 9:00 AM on March 24 in the Board Room of the courthouse. District 1 Commissioner Larry Berry, District 2 Commissioner Scott Harms and Daleske were all present. David Malecki was also present as a visitor.
Benton County Salvation Army Chapter representative Terri Watson met with the commissioners to discuss recent efforts of the Salvation Army Chapter. Kathy Sullins and Peggy Crabtree-Berry were also present at the meeting. Watson acted as spokesperson for the group and supplied information pertaining to disaster awareness and preparedness. She noted that there is an ongoing need for extra help for operation of the local chapter.
E-911 Director Jessica Mayfield met with the commissioners to provide an update on the new CAD system. She also noted that a meeting will be held between
SEMA and local fire district chiefs later this week pertaining to recent weather events. Budget expenditures were also reviewed.
The meeting adjourned at 12:00 PM.
