Well January 2025 arrived and some think it’s a little like getting to hit the refresh button and start over clean and new. To others they dread the month of January as being dark, cold and too long.
It has been bitter cold and the staff worked hard to keep us all warm and cozy. The residents were entertained by musical programs and lots of fun games, one being penny bingo.
The good ladies of St Paul’s church brought the staff and the residents freshly baked warm cinnamon rolls that were relished to the last bite. A young family arrived one afternoon and played outside our windows in the snow. They even built a snowman for the residents to look at and remember fondly their own childhood when they too went sledding and constructed their own snow people.
Helping to make all the long January days a little brighter is Renita Silvers, the January Employee of the Month. Renita is a wonderful addition to the GSCC family. She arrived at GSCC with a background in the industry. She works hard to make the residents happy which helps to make their stay at GSCC more fulfilling. The residents absolutely adore her. She has been a valuable addition to the staff as well. She always jumps in and does whatever is needed. She comes in with a smile on her face and her smile is contagious. Renita, thank you for all you do!
