Stover Proves Too Much For Bluebirds On Homecoming

After being knotted up at 13 after one, the Stover Bulldogs stretched the lead with long range shooting to 31-19 at the half on their way to a 55-41 sweet victory over Cole Camp on Friday night.

The Bulldogs loved the left corners all night extending their lead in the third at 43- 27.

Stover coach Tom Ward commented, "We played well. We started a little slow. Coach Shearer trapped, but once we started hitting shots and that is us, we gained confidence."

"We trailed Sacred Heart by one with a minute to go but lost by ten because we started fouling. We led Lincoln at the half at Lincoln but Coach Burke's team took over from there," he added.

He went on to say, "We are getting better. We have one returning starter and a few role players from last season starting this year."

Coach Shearer summed up his loss pretty simply, "We can't score."

He added, "Coach Ward is great at scouting. He knows we struggle and knows I never change what we do."
