A dozen area organizations received grants totaling nearly $44,000 at a reception hosted October 23 by the Truman Lake Community Foundation.
Community leaders, foundation board members and grant recipients attended the event at the Clinton Elks Lodge. In addition to presenting checks, the foundation recognized retiring board member Sandie Sorbo for her 26 years of service.
