Vaneta F. Glenn, age 78, of Warsaw, Missouri passed away Friday, February 14, 2025 at the Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. She was born on December 17, 1946 in Warsaw, Missouri the daughter of Henry and Dortha (Sumners) Smith.
She grew up in Warsaw and graduated from Warsaw High School. Vaneta was united in marriage to Hobert Roy Simmons who preceded her in death. She later married Ralph Glenn who passed in 2020.
Vaneta enjoyed traveling to Port Isabel, Texas in the winters and loved to hunt for shells. When in Benton County she enjoyed arrowhead hunting. While Vaneta had no biological children of her own, she loved all her sibling’s kids as her own and was considered the best aunt.
She is preceded in death by her parents, five brothers; Eldon, Lester, Elbert, Delbert and Darrell Smith, four sisters; infant twin sisters, Mearl and Pearl Smith that passed at birth, Leona McNutt and Armolene Walker.
Vaneta is survived by her three brothers; Clifton Smith, Ronnie Smith and Ivan Smith, all of Warsaw and two sisters; Sharlene Kellner, of Lebanon, Missouri and Joyce Cardwell, of Warsaw, numerous nieces and nephews other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at the Davis-Miller Funeral Home in Lincoln, Missouri. Interment will follow at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Lincoln.
