The Warsaw Wildcats came home with their first team plaque from districts since 2002, when they finished second out of 16 teams at the Class 1 District 2 wrestling tournament in Butler on Friday and Saturday, and Cole Camp crowned their first-ever district champion in senior Grant Rodriguez who worked his way through the 165 pound bracket to take the top spot on the podium at the event's conclusion.
Throughout the event, Warsaw qualified 6 wrestlers for the 2025 MSHSAA Wrestling Championships while the Bluebirds will be sending 4 wrestlers to the state finale in Columbia this week, February 26 and 27, where they will go head-to-head with the best in the state for a spot on the elite stage.
