WHS Courtwarming Will Take Place This Thursday

Warsaw High School students will celebrate Basketball Courtwarming at the game on Thursday night, February 13.

The Lady Cats will take on the ElDorado Lady Bulldogs at 5:30 in the WHS gym.

The Little Cats Future Spirit squad will perform at halftime of the Lady Cats game.

The JV Boys’ team will play in the middle school gym. There will be no Girls’ JV game.

The Courtwarming Ceremony will be between the girls' and boys’ basketball game. Courtwarming candidates include: (prince) Wesley Jackson, Josh Harvath and Ayden Burdick. Princess candidates include: Natalie Banfield, Hailey Ferguson and Hazal Uelker. King candidates include: Elijah Long, Logan Gemes and Shane Poyser. Queen candidates include: Hazel Thompson, Haylee Cobb and Keira Mostaffa.

The Varsity Boys basketball team will play the ElDorado Bulldogs after the ceremony.

The Emerald Stars Dance squad will perform at halftime of the varsity boys’ game.

All Warsaw students, Pre-K through seniors, are invited to join in on the spirit dress-up days and attend the Courtwarming festivities on Thursday.

On Thursday, February 13, Students are encouraged to wear school colors. Kindergarten and fifth grade students wear white; first and third grade wear black and Pre-K, second and fourth grades wear green.

At JBMS, sixth graders wear green; seventh graders wear white and eighth graders wear black.

At WHS, freshmen wear green; sophomores wear grey; juniors wear white and seniors wear black.

“We encourage everyone to come to Courtwarming and cheer for our Cats,” said freshman varsity cheerleader Amelia Roberts.

On Friday, February 14, Valentine’s Day, everyone should wear red, pink and hearts.
