MUSIC STUDENTS from WHS recently participated in District Music Festival at Stockton High School. Students comprised 33 different solos or small groups. Out of those, seven events qualified for competition at the State level in May. Those moving on to the next level include Chloey Brazel, Ayden Burdick, Angela Cerecero, Jayden Culbertson, Dillan Ellison, Addison Hill, Sonia Lasseigne, Kathryn Lomax, Elijah Long, Serenity Miller, Amelia Roberts, Gabe, Wassman and Alysia Yoder. Results from District competition are as follows: Receiving Satisfactory: Haylie Allen, Allen SSA (Haylie Allen, Jordan Dove, Macey Heimsoth, Chloie Jordan, Makayla Lawrence, Aleanah Yoder), Hayley Case, Christian Culbertson, Kathryn Lomax, Serenity Miller, Jasmin Myers, Hazel Thompson. Receiving Outstanding: Haley Boley, Case SSA, Angela Cerecero, Jayden Culbertson, Addison Hill, DaVeigha Holt, Dakoda Jensen, Eliana Jensen, Sonia Lasseigne, Men’s 6, Amelia Roberts, Jovi Robertson, Michael Schliefert, Thompson SSA, Warsaw SAB, Gabe Wassman. Receiving Exemplary: Chloey Brazel, Ayden Burdick, Dillan Ellison, Freshman Trio, Elijah Long, Warsaw SATB, Alysia Yoder. Choral students are under the direction of Deanna Schockmann. Instrumental students are under the direction of Sandra Stewart.
