An eighty-three-year-old Warsaw woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident in rural Benton County on April 14 at 2 PM.

The crash occurred when a 2022 Jeep Compass driven by Wilma J. Tankesley, 83, of Warsaw, was coming off Hensly Road near Warsaw and a 1994 Jeep Cherokee driven by James J. Lehman, 23, of Half Way, MO traveled into the Tankesley’s vehicle’s path.

Tankesley was taken to Golden Valley Hospital by the Warsaw/Lincoln EMS with moderate injuries.

Tpr. B. G. Katzing of the Missouri Highway Patrol investigated the accident. He was assisted by Benton County Sheriff’s officers.

A teenager from Overland Park, Kansas was injured in an accident on April 12 at 7:05 PM in rural Benton County.

The crash occurred when a 16-year-old male driving a 2009 Volvo XC90 failed to negotiate a curve on Highway 7 at Panorama Drive The vehicle ran off the roadway, struck some tree and overturned.

The youth was taken to Golden Valley Hospital by the Warsaw/Lincoln EMS with minor injuries.

Tpr. R. M. Rosenthal of the Missouri Highway Patrol investigated the accident. He was assisted by Benton County Sheriff officers.
