The Lincoln Cardinals played Friday and Saturday in what was supposed to have been the Sacred Heart Tournament in Sedalia and at Centennial Park.

However, three teams dropped out and so the conference teams decided not to play each and instead played just two games apiece.

On Friday, Linocln played Smith-Cotton's JV team and won 20-2. On Saturday, they met Lone Jack and lost 10-0.

The Cardinals scored 12 runs in the second in the four inning 20-2 massacre of Smith-Cotton's JV team.

Hunter Vandaveer pitched a complete game giving up 4 hits and 2 unearned runs and walked 1. He struck out 10 as Lincoln made 3 errors. Riley Sanders went 2 for 4, driving in 3 and scoring 3. Dawson Parrot also had a big day going 4 for 5 with 3 RBI's and scored 2 runs. Both jackrabbits stole a base.

Saturday, as previously mentioned, was a different story altogether as Lone Jack scored 5 in the first, 1 in the second and 4 in the fourth to end the 4 inning rout thanks to the 10 run rule.

Lincoln made 5 errors.

Luke Thorgmorton pitched a no-hitter for the Mules, allowing 4 walks and pitching around 2 errors in the field. Lincoln's Dawson Parrott and Blake Lyon each pitched 2 innings and both threw 35 pitches.

Lincoln fell to 4-4 on the season.
