The weather has gone back to summer this week with temperatures being in the nineties.  People who are still using the lakes for entertainment are having a great time but those who are doing things that are planned for more of a fall temperature are sweating it to put it mildly!
Prayer for this week:  Lovely Henderson,  Lewis and Judy  Retherford, Kathy First, Carolee Apperson, Gladys Harris, Delores Prater, Easter Willis, Curtis Allen and Mary Scarbrough!.
Dean and I attended a softball game our youngest granddaughter Maddie  was playing in Climax Springs against Macks Creek.  While watching the game, a young man came over and spoke to me and asked me if I was Pat Arnett and I said "yes".  He said I looked familiar and he remembered attending church at Fristoe Pentecostal Lighthouse quite some years ago.  He introduced himself as Don Willis's grandson, Byron.  He and Dean had a really nice visit.  We were thankful he came over and talked to us.
Many people came last week for the Lighthouse Church's Brush Arbor!  Pastor Smith is already talking about one in the spring!
Sending out a happy, happy birthday to Marie Lowry as she celebrates her 85th birthday on Friday, October 6!
Our update about Gracie Yoder this week is as follows:  The training she has daily is about, "What it means to bear the image of Christ", and is being trained to live in fellowship with other believers.   She is continuing to work with others in sharing the gospel, also learning how to respect all cultures and other traditions.  They are  hearing what "Spiritual Warfare" is and what you do to deal with it.  Gracie is still in Gainesville GA for her training so please keep her in your prayers!
The Lighthouse Church was blessed by several specials Sunday morning by several different singers.  Claude and the Lighthouse Singers did one, Larry Ellen did one, and Ken, DoBee. and Brenda did one and all were really good!  The Sunday School is still studying about Joseph in Genesis, and the message Br. Smith brought Sunday morning was found in the book of Deuteronomy  Chapter 12 and it covered teach our children God's way, and tells the danger of allowing any study of false Gods!
Thought for the week:  Teaching right from wrong is taught in the high chair, not waiting until the electric chair!
We hope everyone that reads Fristoe News has an enjoyable, peaceful and uplifting week!
