The Lord blessed the Fristoe area with wonderful rains amounting anywhere from 2 1/2 to 3 inches. It was enough water to put Turkey Creek over the low water bridges. It also put smiles on the faces of farmers, people making gardens and anyone who has things in the ground that needed moisture to come up and begin to grow.

A word of sympathy to the family of Cheryl Schockmann Beck as Cheryl passed away a couple weeks ago. She has been in bad health for several years. Cheryl leaves husband Randy, several brothers and sisters and lots and lots of nieces and nephews.

The Fristoe Pentecostal Lighthouse Church was blessed Sunday by singer Brenda Green Denny in song and bringing the Word! Brenda is the granddaughter of Guy Jones, who was the Pastor of the Fristoe Church in the late 50's. She told the story of how her mother and dad were both saved in the church building right where we sat on Sunday morning. Brenda is a really good singer as is her mom, Shirley Green. After services on Sunday morning, the church provided a light lunch of sandwiches and several sides as well as desserts. Everyone enjoyed the day.

Thought for the week: The hope of the righteous shall be gladness, but the expectation of the wicked will perish!

Hope that everyone who enjoys the Benton County Enterprise has a wonderful week full of Love, Laughter and Blessings!
