Fristoe News

Our weather went back to almost winter-like for the weekend and Fristoe area people that had planted early gardens were bringing out things to cover the plants because it was cold enough to freeze. I noticed peach trees are bloomed out and some have mentioned that red mushrooms have been found. Easter is early this year on the last day of March, the 31st.

Prayers this week for Mary Jackman Crouch, as she has had knee replacement surgery; Jesse Crouch, Kathy First, Amber First, Carolee Apperson, Lewis and Judy Retherford, Gladys Harris, Curtis Allen, and Mary Scarbrough! A praise shout-out as Connie Newkirk and Sue Bumstead were both in church this morning after each had undergone back surgeries.

We say a big, loud Happy Birthday to Dave Cunningham on Monday, March 25!

Fristoe Pentecostal Lighthouse Church: Sunday morning, Sunday School: 10:00 AM, Praise with congregational singing, 11:00 AM and Worship, Monday morning 9:00 AM Prayer Meeting: Wednesday evening, Bible study with snacks before at 5:30 PM. All are welcome.

Sunday's lesson was titled "Living As Children of God" 1 John 3 1-18. Specials were sang by Claude and The Lighthouse Singers and also Dave Cunningham. Br. Smith's message was on Baptism of the Holy Ghost, with scriptures from Luke 2, Acts 1, 2, 10 and Luke 2. Now these are for us to remember. In God's eyes there is no race barrier, denominational barrier, sex barrier, age barrier, or language barrier. We realize salvation is the most important thing to the sinner!

Thought for the week: The best inheritance a parent can leave their children is a good example!

Hope everyone who reads the Benton County Enterprise has a great week with lots of blessings and answered prayers!
