The Fristoe area had a storm and lots of rain on Monday night. The area got from 3 inches of rain to over four inches with area branches to Turkey Creek running full and much over low water bridges. It was needed and gave the local road maintenance crews plenty to stay busy.

Prayers needed this week; Lewis and Judy Retherford, (They are both in the hospital at this writing) Kathy First, Amber First, Carolee Apperson, Cherie Boecher, Gladys Harris, Curtis Allen and Mary Scarbrough,

Happy birthday shoutouts this week to Gracie Colbert on April 11, Elizabeth Wolf on April 12; my great-granddaughter, Mesa Welch as she turns 19 on April 13, and LeWayne Williams celebrates his birthday on April 15!

Have had great pictures from Gracie Yoder in Guatemala this week. Please continue to keep Gracie and her mission team in your prayers. She feels her and her team are learning a lot and are doing great work right now.

The Benton County Republican Central Committee hosted the Lincoln Reagan Dinner on Saturday night, April 5 in the Warsaw Community Building. Dinner was cooked and served by Kickin' Chicken and it was delicious. Guest speakers were Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft, Senator Mike Moon, Senator Sandy Crawford, Representative Roger Reedy and Representative Jim Kalberloh. The Fristoe Lighthouse Church was beautifully represented as Pastor Tony Smith said the prayer and Br. Smith and wife Brenda, sang the song God Bless America.

The Fristoe Lighthouse Church was down in numbers a little but they still had beautiful specials from Claude and The Lighthouse Singers, "I Can't Even Walk Without Holding Your Hand", Br. Ken Heir, Sis DoBee and the Smith's did a great job on "Mansion Over The Hilltop" and Br. Dave aid a wonderful job on his special as always. We have Sunday School for youth and adults and Br. Smith brought his message from Joshua chapter one. It was a message reminding all of us we had to always follow what God is telling us and not straying from his instructions and He will lead us to win all battles. We were reminded that Joshua was the one to replace Moses as Moses died. My, that was big boots to fill! A reminder the missionary couple Peter and Pam VanDerDecker that have been missionaries in connection with the Fristoe Church since around the early 1990's will be visiting the church on the last Sunday of April.

Thought for the week: Unfortunately most people forget God all day but ask Him to remember them at night!

For everyone who reads our Fristoe News, we hope for a wonderful week, full of laughter, lots of prosperous happenings and love!
