Gary Marvin Estes, age 67, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away December 24, 2022. He was born on April 25, 1955 in Warsaw, MO to Junior and Phyliss (Martin) Estes.
Gary grew up in Warsaw, Missouri working on the family farm. He graduated from Warsaw High School in 1974. On June 26, 1976 he was united in marriage to Darcy Roberts. They made their home not far from his childhood home and proceeded to raise four children of their own.
Gary was a self-employed contractor with Gary Estes & Son’s Trucking for the United States Postal Service and worked endless hours caring for his cattle on his family farm.
He is preceded in death by his parents Junior and Phyliss Estes and a brother-in-law, Larry Smith.
Gary is survived by his loving wife of the home, Darcy Estes, four children; Melia Colgan (Jeff) of Osceola, Missouri , Shawna Howard (Ricky) of Higginsville, Missouri , Lance Estes (Tamena) of Warsaw, Jason Estes (Sarah) of Independence, Missouri, two sisters; Vicki Harris (Bud) of Olathe, Kansas , Donna Morgan (Ken) of Estero, Florida , fourteen grandchildren, a great-granddaughter, numerous other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services for Gary M. Estes will be held at the Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw, Missouri on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening December 28, 2022 from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will follow the funeral at the Riverside Cemetery in Warsaw.
