JH Cards Use Comeback To Down Hermitage

After losing in their first game of the season on Thursday, 12-2 at home to Versailles, Lincoln JH was down 6-3 to Hermitage on Friday. Head Coach Connor Spunaugle made some adjustments and the Cardinals came roaring back to score four runs in the fourth for a 7-6 five inning victory to the enjoyment of the home crowd..

Lincoln took the lead in the second as Tanner Cramer stole home. That was short lived as the Hornets scored four times in the third thanks to a bases loaded hit batter and a three run error by the Cardinals..

The comeback kids would take the lead scoring four of their own in the fourth as a dropped third strike scored a run and Braeden Ferguson singled in a run and Grayson Rutherford doubled scoring two runs.

Rutherford, Colton Mellen and Landon Dunkin combined mound with Dunkin earning the win.

Rutherford was 2 for 2 with 3 RBI's. Ferguson went 2-3 driving in a run and scoring 2.

Cardinals are now 1-1
