Local Man Of Many Talents Has Fished The World Over

Local Warsaw resident, T.W Parrish, 77, has fished all over the world. Besides being an accomplished fisherman, he also has a B.A. degree in music from Florida State, he is a writer, artistic painter having won art shows locally, and has performed alongside the Bee Gees and Roy Orbison as well as other well-known performers .
Parrish was born in North Carolina but lived for years in Florida and Seattle, Washington, before moving to Benton County some 16 years ago. 
Parrish worked in construction for 31 years and is a four year Navy veteran and spent two years in the reserves, 1964-1970.
Parrish is a big game fisherman having fished throughout North and South America, Alaska, Nova Scotia, Mexico and throughout the world., The Jazz musician-fisherman  has also traveled  to 47 states and to 27 countries.
He owned two charter boats in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for five years and fished for Marlin, Sailfish, Tuna, Mako sharks, as well as many other species.
Locally, he has caught and released his share of slab crappie, largemouth bass and has caught an unofficial world record Blue Cat on six pound line.
Throughout this month, Parrish has a big game fishing display full of pictures of huge monster fish and various types of lures at the local Boonslick Regional Library, Warsaw branch.
Whether you are an avid fisherman, or just a casual observer, you will want to take a peek as you visit the library this month.
