ON BEHALF OF the Benton County Extension Council Scholarship Committee: CONGRATULATIONS to Tara Morano, winner of the SCHOLARSHIP RAFFLE Henry Golden Boy .22 L/R/LR with a one-of-a-kind engraving of Truman Lake! The winning ticket was drawn at the Benton County Extension Council Annual Meeting last Thursday evening. Because of the success of this raffle and dedication of the Scholarship Committee and the Extension Council, this May, one deserving senior at Cole Camp, Lincoln, and Warsaw High Schools will each receive a scholarship of at least $1,000. That’s 3 scholarships of at least $1,000 each! This is the second year for the Benton County Extension Council Scholarship. Last year’s $300 scholarship recipient was Emma S. of Lincoln. High School. The quality of last year’s applications was so good that the Scholarship Committee was determined to increase the number of scholarships awarded and the amount of the scholarship and that’s how we got to here!
