Warsaw High School Seniors Reign In Awards At Final Assembly

Seniors and parents gathered on the evening of May 18  to celebrate accomplishments, scholarships and to end the evening with the baccalaureate service.
Emma Johnson was announced as class salutatorian and Alyssa Alcantara was named valedictorian.
Academic Recognition: Summa Cum Laude (GPA of 3.9 and above) medals were awarded to Alyssa Alcantara, Emma Johnson and Grant Chapman.
Magna Cum Laude (GPA of 3.75 to 3.89) medals were awarded to Taylor Howe, Sarah Johnson, Nora McMillin, Natalie Johnson and Brayden Elmer.
Cum Laude (GPA of 3.40 to 3.74) medals were awarded to Isabella Morrison, Tyler Parker, Karlie Jones, Amelia Botteron, Brady Slavens, Benjamin Kowal, Luke Martinez, Jaidyn Estes, Jaycob Harvath, Jana Prokhor.
Athletics: Male and Female Athletes of the Year were Brady Slavens and Taylor Howe. The Jerry Lumpe Award was given to Brady Slavens and the Jackie Downing Award was awarded to Taylor Howe. The Ironman Award and Booster Club Scholarship of $500 was given to Taylor Howe. The Live Like Bailey Scholarship was awarded to Brady Slavens and Taylor Howe ($1,500 each).
NHS: Cords were awarded to president Nora McMillin, vice president Tyler parker, secretary Natalie Johnson, treasurer Alyssa Alcantara, historian Taylor Howe, parliamentarian Grant Chapman, Amelia Botteron, Emma Johnson, Sara Johnson, Ben Kowal, Julie Long, Bella Morrison and Brady Slavens.
A+ Honors: Cords were awarded to Alyssa Alcantara, Amelia Botteron, Curtis Breshears, Grant Chapman, Bryan Coffey, Sydnee Costello, Gaven Cunningham, Brayden Elmer, Jjolina Givens, Taylor Howe, Nicole Jeffrey, Emma Johnson, Jeremiah Johnson, Natalie Johnson, Sarah Johnson, Karlie Jones, James Kellner, Taylar Kleihauer, Ben Kowal, Alan Landsberg, Calvin Long, Julie Long, Luke Martinez, Mora McMillin, Bella Morrison, Tyler Parker, Brady Slavens, Dakota Steinhoff, Corbin Thirstrup and Savannah Watts.
Science: Nicole Jeffrey was awarded as a top Ecology student. Lucas Kaneko and Tyler Parker won awards in Physics. Alyssa Alcantara won a Chemistry award and Tim Dyer was recognized for Insanely, Unbelievably Improved Attendance.
Military: KayLee Lawson was awarded paid college tuition through the National Guard and the GI Bill.
English: The top Senior Composition student was Alyssa Alcantara and the top English IV student was Tyler Parker. 
Journalism: Yearbook Editor-In-Chief Emma Johnson was recognized. The Journalist of the Year was Taylor Howe and the Sales Award was given to Emma Johnson. Quill and Scroll honor cords were awarded to Emma Johson, Taylor Howe, James Kellner and Madison Coskey. A recognition cord was awarded to Shyanne Ramsey. Missouri Interscholastic Press Association All Missouri Awards were given to The Wildcat student newspaper and the 2021 Ozark Echoes Yearbook. Individual All-Missouri awards were given to Taylor Howe - Yearbook traditional Package, Emma Johnson - Yearbook Specialty Design, and Yearbook traditional package.
Math: The top College Algebra student was Sarah Johnson. Math Club awards and letters were presented to president Corbin Thirstrup, vice president Alan Landsberg and Ben Kowal.
FBLA: District awards were given to Brayden Elmer for third in Web Design and fourth in Digital Video Production, Emma Johnson for fifth in Journalism, Corbin Thirstrup for third in Entrepreneurship and Marcus Kreisler for fifth in Insurance and Risk Management. FBLA graduation cords were awarded to Taylar Kleihauer, Bella Morrison, Devin Hawley, Brayden Elmer, Jillian Guiot, Grant Chapman, Dakota Steinhoff, Emma Johnson, Amelia Botteron and Marcus Kreisler.
CTC: Automotive - Bryan Coffey earned a certificate of participation, dual credit, four ASE Student Certifications and a National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) Bronze. Jolina Givens earned a certificate of participation, dual credit, one ACDelco Professional GM Service Training Certification, NCRC Silver, and two ASE Student Certifications. Calvin Long earned a Certificate of Completion, dual credit, two ACDelco Professional GM Service Training Certifications, NCRC Silver, 10 ASE Student Certifications and he earned his National Technical Honor Society cords.
Building Trades - Jeremiah Johnson earned a certificate of participation, Career Safe Time Management Skills Training Certificate, NCRC Bronze and a Career Connections Skill Level 3 Certificate.
Criminal Justice - Chris Cooper earned a certificate of completion, the American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification, a Criminal Justice Stackable Credentials Certificate, a Career Safe Certificate and two PoliceOne certificates. Tristin Crabtree received a certificate of participation, dual credit, American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification, Criminal Justice Stackable Credentials Certificate, Career Safe Certificate and seven PoliceOne certificates.
Early Childhood Careers - Britni Brown earned a certificate of participation, dual credit and NCRC Silver. Nicole Jeffrey received a certificate of participation, dual credit and NCRC Silver. Ashley Terry received a certificate of completion, dual credit, Heartsaver First Aid, CPR and AED certification, NCRC Silver and a CDA Training Completion Certificate.
Graphic Design- Noah Kahler received a certificate of participation, CareerSafe Interview Skills Training Certificate, PrintED/SkillsUSA Introduction to Graphic Communications Certificate and a NCRC Gold. Megan Wilson received a certificate of participation, CareerSafe Interview Skills Training Certificate, PrintED/SkillsUSA Introduction to Graphic Communications Certificate and NCRC Silver.
Precision Machining - Jaycob Harvath earned a certificate of achievement, dual credit, CareerSafe Certificate, two Haas Basic Lathe & Mill Operator Program Certificates, a NIMS CNC Mill Operations Certificate, NCRC Bronze and the $1,500 Gene Haas Scholarship.
Welding - Curtis Breshears earned a certificate of completion, dual credit, CareerSafe Certificate, two AWS structural Welding certifications and NCRC Platinum.
Career and Technical Education: The Missouri Career and Technical Education Certificates were awarded to Natalie Johnson, Jeremiah Johnson and Sarah Johnson.
Performance Arts: Many of the performance arts awards were presented at a banquet on May 11. 
Piano: The Top Piano student was Natalie Johnson. 
Vocal Music: The Dedication Award was given to Jolina Givens and Bea Jolliff. The Outstanding Musician was awarded to Dakota Steinhoff.
Instrumental Music: The Louie Armstrong Jazz Awards was given to Samuel Waters. The Patrick S. Gilmore Band Director’s Award was given to August Nickles. The John Phillip Sousa Award was given to Alyssa Alcantara and the Schola Musicorum (Music Scholar) medal was awarded to Alyssa Alcantara.
FFA: FFA awards were given at the May 24 banquet. The Southwest Electric Cooperative Awards was given to Jeremiah Johnson. The Dekalb Award was given to Sarah Johnson. Natalie Johnson earned the Growth Award and the Chapter Workhorse Award went to Dakota Steinhoff. Sarah Johnson, Natalie Johnson, Jeremiah Johnson and Dakota Steinhoff earned Chapter Scholarship Awards. Devin Hawley and Sarah Johnson were honored for their
CDE Ag Sales event. Chapter Community Service Awards were given to Natalie Johnson, Sarah Johnson, Dakota Steinhoff, Jeremiah Johnson, Devin Hawley and Julie Long. Chapter Leadership Awards were given to Devin Hawley, Natalie Johnson, Jeremiah Johnson, Dakota Steinhoff and Sarah Johnson was the most active member. 
John Boise Middle School counselor Katie Johnson delivered the Baccalaureate message.
