Warsaw R-IX Board Recognizes Students For Success

During the May 17, 2022 Regular Session of the Warsaw R-IX Board of Education meeting, three students were recognized for academic and leadership success.
WHS student Jeremiah Johnson was recognized by Bill Wood as an outstanding student who has demonstrated excellent achievement by maintaining academic excellence and school representation in a number of honorable groups and leadership involvement at Warsaw High School.  Jeremiah has an outstanding work ethic and school pride.  He has maintained a positive attitude towards learning and has always accepted feedback to improve his learning in all area of academics.
Jeremiah has been a member of the Warsaw FFA for the past 4 years.  During his 4 years in FFA, Jeremiah won first place in Horse Judging at Districts and made it to State.  Jeremiah has been a student of the CTC program for the past 2 years, during which his team won first place at State for Team Building and 6th place at Nationals.  He will be graduating with a certificate in Building Trades.  He was also a member of the Warsaw Speech Team for 2 years and made it to State both years for Readers Theater.  He also participated in Trap Shooting for 2 years. Upon graduation, Jeremiah will attend OTC and get a degree in Business and Marketing.  He plans to start his own construction business.  Warsaw High School is excited for Jeremiah and his bright future!
Two John Boise Middle School students were also recognized.  They are seventh grader Sara Miller and eighth grader Brayden Henderson.  Sara Miller is involved in Softball, Basketball, Volleyball, Art, Hunting, Fishing, and helping neighbors when they need it.  Sara has been elected as a Student of the Month while attending JBMS.  She is also on the JBMS Honor Roll and a member of the JBMS Honor Society.  She has placed 2nd in the state through the Elks Hoops Shoot Free Throw Contest.  She has also been recognized as showing compassion.  Her future plans are to become a coach.
Brayden Henderson is active in Cross Country, Basketball, Track, and serves as an FFA officer.  Hi is a member of the JBMS Honor Society and served on the JBMS Student Council, as well as recognized as a Student of the Month.  He is also in Algebra I as an 8th grader and on the JBMS Honor Roll.  Brayden plans on tackling geometry and Algebra II as a freshman and continue to be active and serve in FFA all four years of high school.
Dr Billy Daleske says, “I am recognizing these two students because they have absolutely been a pleasure to have as students.  They are leaders in our school and the type of role models that I would want my kids to look up to.  I want to say thank you to their parents how wonderful these kids are.”
