Chad Anthony "Shotgun" Ashford, 54, of Warsaw, MO, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. He was born on January 3, 1970 in Chillicothe, MO, the son of Ivan Ashford and Barbara (Jones) Ashford, who preceded him in death.
Chad worked as an union lineman for KCP&L in Kansas City, MO, for 10 years. He loved the outdoors and country living. Chad enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, listening to old country music, and drinking beer.
Survivors include a son Cody Ashford of Independence, MO; a brother, Todd Ashford (Angela) of Independence, MO; a step-daughter, Clancy Spade of Sedalia; a step-son Tylor Spade of Bates City, MO; his maternal grandmother, Louise Jones; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service and burial will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Aaron Roberts officiating.
Pallbearers will be Mike Evans, Cody Ashford, Todd Ashford, Tylor Spade, and Clancy Spade.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.
