Curtis A. Hart

Curtis A. Hart, age 94, of Warsaw, Missouri passed away Thursday, May 9, 2024 at the Warsaw Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on December 17, 1929 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma the son of Curtis Dale Hart and Hazel (Smith) Hart. Curtis’ heritage has been traced back to his Great-Great-Great Grandmother who was Native American Cherokee and relocated to Oklahoma on the Trail of Tears in the late 1830’s.

Curtis served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged after almost two years of wartime service.

On October 5, 1953 he was united in marriage to Mary Kelso in Macks Creek, Missouri. They made their home for a short time in Santa Monica, California, moving to Warsaw in 1955.

Curtis work as an over the road truck driver and hauled dirt and gravel for many years. He is a lifetime member of the VFW in Warsaw. He enjoyed to fish, hunt, take out the house boat on the lake, garden and loved an occasional poker game.

He is preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, EW Hart and his brother, James Dale Hart.

Curtis is survived by his wife of seventy years, Mary Hart, of the home, a son, Randy Hart, of Warsaw and one grandson, Eric Hart.

Arrangements for his cremation are under the direction of the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw.
