Tough Stretch For Lincoln Ladies On Court

Posted
Coming off their biggest win of the season at home over Warsaw last week,  the Lincoln Lady Cardinals came out flat against Lakeland in a 48-13 drubbing at home on Friday.
Missing junior Abby White, who is out with an injury, the Lady Cardinals were bothered with breaking the full court press as well as not shooting well from the field.
It was 14-4 after one and 22-6 at the half. It was 37-9 after three as the scoring nightmare continued in the second half.
Lincoln fell to 2-3 while Lakeland moved to 3-3 on the season.
On Monday night, they traveled to the Stover dome and lost 56-12.
Gracyn Eifert scored quickly on a layup for a 2-0 lead. She would pick up three fouls in the first quarter and sit as Stover jumped out to a 16-2 lead in the first quarter and then led 34-3 at the half.
The nightmare continued in the third as it was 48-8 with a running clock in the fourth quarter.
Lincoln fell to 2-4 and Stover jumped to 3-2.
On Wednesday night, the girls fell victim to Concordia on the road at State Fair Community College in the W-K Shootout, 51-18.
A scoreless first quarter dug a hole too big to overcome.
It was 11-0 after one and 20-7 at the half.
Concordia blew things open in the third with a 20 point quarter to lead 40-13.
Alyessa Mellen had 10 to lead the Lady Cardinals. Gracyn Eifert pitched in six and McKenzie Yearout had 2.
