Have I Got A Line For You!

Posted
Well, well, well. You may have missed the breaking news about the $260,000 wire transfer from China to the Biden Operations. Senator Bob’s “I just needed to hide money at home in case” story wasn’t enough to cover this little gem up so it was back to indicting The Donald. A New York judge ruled against him, saying he, “Overvalued his real estate holdings” and The Donald may lose his businesses.  A registered Democrat Justice ruled against President Trump. Who could see that coming? The phrase, “Bring me the man and I’ll show you the crime” comes to mind. Who is the injured party in this case? Who lost money? What a sad thing we’ve turned into. Freedom of speech is hanging by a thread and private property being potentially seized from a private citizen and candidate for President. The DA said The Donald has been overstating his wealth for years. If this has been going on for years, why is the case being brought now? The government going after political opponents is a classic Soviet maneuver. Wonder who the police state will perceive as their next threat? Meanwhile, we all plod along with little control over what comes next.

There is other news though. In D.C. Congressman Jamaal Bowman pulled the fire alarm to help his party delay a vote to keep the government running. Jamaal says he mistook the fire alarm for a door handle. UNBELIEVABLE! He’s a former school principal and trained in fire drills. Didn’t some folks go to jail for “Obstructing official proceedings” on January 6? Sounds like an act of insurrection to me. Or does it not work that way for Socialists?

Proclamation from the Missouri State Senate recognizing the Enterprise for 144 years of continues operation in Warsaw was a nice thing to get. In Clinton we’ve been in business since 1868 which probably makes us the oldest business in town, with Mills & Sons  nipping closely at our heels. Six generations have worked on the Enterprise and Democrat, probably all crazy. I’m genetically damned as far as this business goes. It comes in from four branches of the family tree. One, the Cromwell’s started the Saturday Evening Post. The White’s started their writing career in Colorado and later had newspapers in Mississippi and Arkansas as well as Missouri. The Callows had Pennsylvania papers and the Purviances were printers of the first Continental money and later had a daily paper in Washington, PA. Don’t know why I’m telling you all this, but these ancestral genes dart at me from all directions. My favorite editor was Great-Great Uncle Joe White who had a newspaper in Jackson, Mississippi. After a night on the town, he traded it for an interest in a prize fighter. So much for that. Onward and upward!
