Have I Got A Line For You!

All kinds of strange news coming from our nation’s Capital. Cocaine was found in the White House and we were told it was “Irresponsible” to ask about it. UNBELIEVABLE! Irresponsible? Who does that bring to mind? The guy discharged from the Navy for testing positive for cocaine? The guy who filmed himself driving 170 MPH while smoking crack? Well, you get the idea, but he does live in the White House. They could track people down for January 6 offenses, all over the country, but couldn’t detect the source of a white substance in the most secure home on earth.
Meanwhile, President Biden says we’re low on ammo because we’ve sent so much to Ukraine. Wouldn’t the amount of ammo our military possesses be classified information? If a military officer or a certain former President gave this out, they’d be charged. Have no fear though, because we’re nailing down the right pronoun. Who needs ammo? We won’t have ammunition to defend ourselves, but We/They/Them/It will be able to offer the enemy a safe space.

INTERNATIONAL NEWS! Experts claim they found the entrance to the underworld in Oaxaca, Mexico. Legend says under the ruins of an ancient Church lies a temple with a vast system of tunnels with four interconnected chambers. Three of them were for high priests and kings, the fourth is more perplexing. Inside the last chamber was a door into a cavern that led deep underground, so deep the Zapotec people believed it held the entrance to the
Underworld. In June, a group of archaeologist said they found the tomb using scanners. Who knows, but ancient legends often have some basis in fact and understanding them is difficult for our modern minds. Given the state of the world, uncovering this passage may not be the best thing.

Speaking of the afterlife, I remember reading a fascinating book about this subject years ago. According to the author when were asleep and on an “astral plane” it’s easier for the deceased to “meet us halfway,” energetically speaking. I’m not sure what to make of this, but there is a very thin veil from here to there. Or at least, that’s what I’ve always believed.

Have a perfectly swell day old buddy and enjoy the nice early morning breeze out there. Remember the old line, “A boat beneath a breezy sky, in an evening of July?”  Let’s enjoy the nice breeze while we can. You bet.
