Have I Got A Line For You!

We all know a few people who think they know everything. But sometimes, we all have some pretty good hunches. I did when I thought someone would come forward about the government covering for Hunter’s laptop. Last week an IRS agent did just that and offered to “spill the beans” on the Biden family’s financial shenanigans. Our first clue came years ago when Nancy changed the rules so Congress couldn’t look at the bank’s suspicious activity reports. Isn’t it interesting how many of our politicians, Democrat and Republican get fabulously wealthy off moderate salaries?  We’ve become as corrupt as those we’ve been fighting against for 250 years. The NSA, FBI, Secret Service and the National Hookers Association all covering for Hunter and The Big Guy. Bet the Founding Father’s never foresaw professional career politicians in our future.

There’s a big mess going on in Chicago with teenagers looting stores, smashing windows and robbing tourists. The new mayor warned “not to demonize” them for violent behavior because they’ve been starved of opportunity. What opportunities are they starved of? Don’t they get an education? That’s an opportunity. Can’t they go to college where student loans are available? That’s an opportunity. How about trade school? That’s an opportunity. Don’t demonize these children? Tell that to the people who were assaulted and the store owners who were vandalized. We don’t have to demonize these kids, they’ve done it to themselves. “Spare the rod, spoil the child,” comes to mind.

Ran across a documentary last night on President Abraham Lincoln. It covered his boyhood through assassination. While President Lincoln made many speeches, his Gettysburg Address is the one most of us know and can quote from. My Dad used to talk about “Lincoln’s Lost Speech” which was given in Illinois. Reporters were there to take quotes, but Lincoln was so eloquent, few got anything written down. They just listened. I’ve read that sound never dies, just floats around up there someplace. If there were any way to retrieve those lost sounds, think of the possibilities. “Lincolns Lost Speech” for one, but thousands of others. What would you like to hear if you got the choice?

Phronsie was in the office yesterday and said hummingbirds seemed to be in short supply this spring. However, Tracey Spry down in Edwards spotted several at her feeder. Apparently delighted at their good fortune.

May we all be equally delighted by good fortune, too. Maybe this week? Meanwhile, hang in there old buddy.
