Dear Editor,
Great Job Everyone!!!
Everyone did their part at Jubilee Days this year and we all had a great time.  The committee’s plan came together, volunteers helped to set things up and made things run smoothly, and everyone showed up to enjoy the fruits of their labor.  I believe this is one of the best, easy-going festivals I have participated in.
I would like to give a big shout out and thank you to the City of Warsaw.  The city opened up the streets and buildings so we could provide free entertainment for everyone.  The Parks and Recreation department manicured the grass, hung banners, and dumped trash in the harbor.  The street department cleaned and painted the streets and provided barricade material to close streets.  Last but not least, I want to thank the Warsaw Police Department who protected all festival attendees.
The ladies in the Royalty competition did an excellent job performing for the crowd and enticing the judges to choose them as the top candidate in their particular event. The babies performed well and probably didn’t know it. The performers in the Karaoke Contest were amazing.  The venues that sent them to the competition should feel proud of their contestant’s performance. The runners ran the 5K with ease on that cool Saturday morning, the bicycle racers put the peddles to the gears, and the turtles clawed the pavement to determine the reigning champion in their respective events for Jubilee Days 2023. The old saying goes “Don’t rain on my parade”, but the good Lord had other plans.  I believe his plan was to cool down the morning with refreshing rain during the parade.  The Car Show had some nice rides, and the Piano Man did a fine job entertaining the contestants and the crowd.  I have never seen as many amazed people both young and old as I observed at the Exotic Animal show.  The animals were also smiling as they gobbled the feed that participants purchased and fed them.  The carnival and the stage performers always closed the evenings ensuring everyone had fond memories of Jubilee Days 2023.  Again, I would like to thank all who worked long hours setting up and tearing down.  These people are amazing.  Until next year, always remember we have a city we can be very proud of.
“GOTTA LOVE WARSAW!!!”
