Moo, Moo Buckaroo! Benton County Youth Host 2022 Fair

4-H and FFA members from across the county gathered in Lincoln for the annual 4-H & FFA Youth Fair June 23 through June 25 to display their projects from the year and to compete for Grand Champion awards.
Ribbons of achievement were presented to 4-H and FFA members.  Projects were also selected to represent Benton County at the Missouri State Fair in August.  Royalty crowned at the Fair included:  Queen Grace Koenke of the Lakecreek Lamplighters, Cole Camp and Princess Kelsey Viebrock, Lakecreek Lamplighters, Cole Camp.
At the Dog Show on Thursday, Zane Ledbetter, of the Turkey Creek Homesteaders won Grand Champion for Grooming, all age exhibitors and dogs.  McKinlee Brandes of the Lakecreek Lamplighters received Reserve Grand Champion for Grooming; Jenna Everhart of Cass County received a blue ribbon for Grooming.
For Dog Rally Jenna Everhart of Cass County received Grand Champion and McKinlee Brandes of Lakecreek Lamplighters received Reserve Grand.
For Obedience Novice A first year dog and handler, Zane Ledbetter of the Turkey Creek Homesteaders received Reserve Grand.
Zane Ledbetter of the Turkey Creek Homesteaders won the Dog Jr. Showmanship award and Jenna Everhart of Cass County won Dog Sr. Showmanship. 
McKinlee Brandes, Pace Ledbetter and Zane Ledbetter all won blue ribbons for the Dog Costume event.
Pace Ledbetter of the Turkey Creek Homesteaders won a ribbon for the Dog Clover Kid Class.
The Goat Show was also on Thursday.  For Goat Meat Wethers Amelia Roberts received In County Grand Champion and Connor Roberts received In County Reserve Grand.  Abigail Miller of Miller County received Grand Champion and Reserve Grand for Wethers.  Marshall Harms of Cole Camp and Abigail Miller of Miller County received blue ribbons for Wethers.
For Dairy Does in milk, Connor Roberts of the All Arounders received Grand Champion.
For Dairy Doe Best Udder, Amelia Roberts and Connor Roberts of the All Arounders received blue ribbons.
For Market Dairy Wethers Goats, Blake Zimmerschied of the Lakecreek Lamplighters received Grand Champion and Reserve Grand.  Tory Webb of Moniteau County and Emma Callahan of the Turkey Creek Homesteaders received blue ribbons.
For Meat Does 3 to 6 months percentage, Abigail Miller of Miller County received Grand Champion.
For Meat Does 6 to 12 months purebred, Connor Roberts and Amelia Roberts, All Arounders, received blue ribbons.
For Dairy Does born 3/1/22 through 3/31/22 Grand Hill of Cass County won Grand Champion.
For Meat Does 12-24 months Purebred, Amelia Roberts of the All Arounders won Grand Champion.  For Meat Does 12-24 months percentage, Amelia Roberts of the All Arounders won Reserve Champion.  Connor Roberts of the All Arounders won Reserve Champion for Meat Does 12-24 months.
Connor Roberts of the All Arounders won Grand Champion for Meat Bucks 3-6 months purebred.
For Dairy Doe under 2 years in milk, Grant Hill and Ambrose Hill of Cass County won blue ribbons.
For Dairy Does 2 years and under 3 in milk, Ambrose Hill of Cass County won Grand Champion.
Blake Zimmerschied of the Lakecreek Lamplighters won Goat Rate Of Gain and the Goat Herdsman award was presented to Marshall Harms of the Lincoln Cardinals.
In Open Pee Wee Meat Class, Henry Adler received a Clover Kid ribbon.
In the Cured Meats division, Grace Koenke of Cole Camp FFA received FFA Grand Champion Ham and Sierra Koenke of Cole Camp FFA received FFA Reserve Grand Ham.
Wyatt Hesse of Cole Camp received a blue ribbon for FFA Smoked Ham.  Christian White, Hunter White, and Chase Stone of Lincoln FFA all received red ribbons for FFA Smoked Ham.  Wyatt Hesse of Cole Camp won a white ribbon for FFA Smoked Ham.
Kaelyn Keith of Lakecreek Lamplighters won Grand Champion and Reserve Champion 4-H Smoked Bacon Slab.
Judd Harms, Rhett Harms, Charlotte Harper, Kaia Kyser, Jarrett Phillips, Kolton Phillips, Jace Tinney and Leighton Tinney of the Lakecreek Lamplighters won blue ribbons for 4-H Smoked Bacon Slab.
In Vocational-Ag, Judd Harms of Lakecreek Lamplighters won a blue ribbon.
In the Non-Livestock events, Arts and Crafts (ages 8 – 10), blue ribbons were awarded to Emilee Barker, Jeremy Levy, Abigayle Roark, Lindley Staus.  Red ribbons were awarded to Jeremy Levy, Abigayle Roark, Lindley Staus, LilyAnn Valentine, and Emilee Barker.  Those selected for State Fair included:  Emilee Barker, Jeremy levy Abigayle Roark, Lindley Staus,

Arts and Crafts (ages 14 and over), blue ribbons were awarded to Hannah Harrell, Kadence Mason, Grace Koenke, and Sierra Koenke.  Red Ribbons were awarded to Kayden Howard, and Kadence Mason.  Those selected for State Fair included:  Hannah Harrell, Kadence Mason, Grace Koenke and Sierra Koenke.
Visual Arts, (drawing, fiber arts and sculpture) Sierra Koenke received a blue ribbon and was selected for the State Fair and Non-Livestock Best of Show.
Visual Arts, (painting, printing and graphic design) Amelia Roberts and Sierra Koenke received blue ribbons and were selected for the State Fair.
Scrapbooking, Abigayle Roark received a blue ribbon and State Fair.  Emilee Barker received a red ribbon.
In Beef Unit 1 Easton Chamberlin received a blue ribbon and Alaina Camirand received a red ribbon.
Cake Decorating, Unit 1, Alaina Camirand, Leighton, Kelsey Viebrock and Leighton Tinney received blue ribbons.  Emilee Barker and McKinlee Brandes received red ribbons.  Alaina Camirand, Leighton Tinney and Kelsey Viebrock were selected for State Fair.
Cake Decorating, Unit 2, Khloe Viebrock received a blue ribbon and Abigayle Roark received a red ribbon.  Khloe Viebrock was selected for State Fair.
Augustus Harper, Clara Valentine and Emma Chamerlain received  Clover Kid Unit 1 ribbons.
Henry Adler received four Clover Kids Unit 3 ribbons.
In Sewing, Unit 2, Sierra Koenke and Grace Koenke received blue ribbons.  Sierra Koenke was selected for State Fair.
In Crochet, Karina Honea and Klarissa Honea received blue ribbons and were selected for State Fair.
In Beekeeping 2, Jeremy Levy received a blue ribbon.
In Food Level 1, LilyAnn Valentine, Sierra Koenke, and Katy Cook received blue ribbons and were selected for State Fair.  Katy Cook won Grand Champion Foods project.
In Food Level 2 Kaelyn Keith and Khloe Viebrock received blue ribbon.  Kaelyn Keith received a red ribbon.  Kaelyn Keith was selected for State Fair.
In Food Level 4,  Hannah Harrel received two blue ribbons.
In International Foods, Hannah Harrell received a blue ribbon.
In Breads 1, Sierra Koenke received a blue ribbon and was selected for State Fair.
In Boiling Water Canning, Katy Cook and Amelia Roberts received blue ribbons and were selected for State Fair.  Connor Roberts received a red ribbon.
In Pressure Canning, Sierra Koenke received two blue ribbons.
Karina and Klarissa Honea each received blue ribbons in Floriculture, Unit 1.  Karina Honea was selected for State Fair.
In Photography Unit 1, Karina Honea, Klarissa Honea, Zane Ledbetter, Jarrett Phillips, Jarrett Phillips received blue ribbons. Karina Honea, Klarissa Honea, Zane Ledbetter and Jarrett Phillips were selected for State Fair.  Karina Honea won Champion Photography Exhibit.
In Photography Unit 2, Connor Roberts, Kaia Kyser, Leighton Tinney and Jarrett Phillips received blue ribbons.  Charlotte Harper, Kaia Kyser, Leighton Tinney, Kolton Phillps, and Jarrett Phillips received red ribbons.
In Photography Unit 3, Amelia Roberts received three blue ribbons and one red ribbon.  Amelia Roberts was selected for State Fair.
In Archery, Zane Ledbetter received a blue ribbon and was selected for State Fair
In Welding, Grace Koenke, Jarrett Phillips and Braden Jonson received blue ribbons.  Grace Koenke and Jarrett Phillips were selected for State Fair.  Grace Koenke was awarded Champion Welding project.
Also in Woodworking Unit 1, Kolton Phillips and Jarrett Phillips received blue ribbons.  Connor Roberts received a red ribbon.  Kolton Phillips was selected for State Fair.
In Woodworking Unit 2, Rhett Harms received a blue ribbon and was selected for State Fair and Grand Champion Woodworking.
In the Pet Show, Hannah Harrell received Best of Show.
Thursday night was also the 4-H Horse Show.  High Point Novice went to Alaina Camirand of the Lakecreek Lamplighters.  Reserve High Point Novice was won by Kade Parris.
13 and Under Grand Champion was Brett Miller, Pleasant Hill.  13 and Under Reserve Grand went to Lexi Parris.
14 and Over Grand Champion was Sierra Koenke, Lakecreek Lamplighters.  14 and Over Reserve Grand was Lauren Gage, Archie.
In County Point Grand Champion went to Alaina Camirand, Lakecreek Lamplighters.
In County Point Reserve Grand went to Sierra Koenke, Lakecreek Lamplighters.
On Friday, the 4-Hers and FFA competed in the rabbit and poultry shows.
In Standard Chicken, Connor Roberts won Champion Chicken and Klarissa Honea received Reserve Champion Chicken.
Gunner Denny, Karina Honea, Jarrett Phillips Connor Roberts and Amelia Roberts all received blue ribbons. Klarissa Honea, Kolton Phillips, Jarrett Phillips and Kelsey Viebrock received red ribbons.  Gunner Denny, and Karina Honea received white ribbons.
For Heavy Weight Duck, Karina Honea received a blue ribbon and Reserve Champ, Judd Harms, and Klarissa Honea received red ribbons.
For a dozen eggs, Kendall McLemore won a blue ribbon and Amelia Roberts won a red ribbon.
For Bantam Chicken, George Clevenger, Gunner Denny, Kolton Phillips won blue ribbons.  Gunner Denny, Karina Honea and Klarissa Honea won red ribbons.  Klarissa Honea won a white ribbon.  George Clevenger won Grand Champion Bantam and Reserve Champion Bantam.
Layer Production Pen of 3 Laying Hens Champion and Reserve Champion went to Kelsey.  Khloe Viebrock received blue ribbons and Serena Bahrenburg received a red ribbon.
Klarissa Honea, Karina Honea won blue ribbons for Bantam/Call Duck.  Karina Honea won two red ribbons for Bantam/Call Ducks.
For Lightweight Duck, Male or Female, Amelia Roberts and Klarissa Honea won blue ribbons.  Amelia Roberts won Grand Champion Duck
Connor Roberts won a blue ribbon for Medium Weight Duck while Amelia Roberts won a red ribbon.
Junior Poultry Showmanship went to Jarrett Phillips, Intermediate Showmanship went to Khloe Viebrock and Clover Kid Showmanship went to Henry Adler.    
Connor Roberts won Poultry Best of Show for his Cochin Rooster.
In the Rabbit Show, Connor Roberts won Grand Champion and Best of Show for his Purebred Junior Buck.
Amelia Roberts won blue ribbons for Purebred Junior Doe and Purebred Senior Doe.
Connor Roberts won blue ribbons for Purebred Senior Doe.
Emilee Barker won a blue ribbon for Pedigreed Senior Doe.
Connor Roberts won a blue ribbon and Grand Champion for his Purebred Senior Buck.
Klarissa Honea won a blue ribbon for Crossbred Senior Buck.
Karina Honea and Abegayle Roark won blue ribbons for Pedigreed Senior Buck.

At the Ice Cream Social, the Lakecreek Lamplighters won the Fastest Freezing contest and the McKinlee Brandes, Teagan Osburn and Oliva Vansell won the Best Tasting.
McKinlee Brandes, Teagan Osburn and Olive Vansell won the Chocolate Cake Contest with Klarissa Honea taking second place.
Spirit Awards were presented to Colton Phillips and Judd Harms.
