Benton County Elks Lodge 2783 did it again…they showed that they Care and Share! The lodge hosted Hillbilly Bingo, a fundraiser on April 22 and everyone had a great time. The money raised, over $1600 along with grant money from Elk’s National Foundation, the lodge will be able to purchase backpacks for Benton County Children. The backpacks will be distributed at the annual Smart Start program held at the John Boise Middle School.
The event was a success thanks to members and supporters of the Elks: Stephanie Anderson, Kim Porter, Wendi Tremain, Mark Porter, Jim Wissman, Vicki Brooke, Julie Cassidy who managed the kitchen, Dennis Schoen our humorous bingo caller, Fred Cole who grilled the meat, Bob Waters and Doug Alden our enthusiastic auctioneers, Genia Townsend who donated the meat, Audrey Compton and Karen Sanders.
