Ronnie L. Whittle, age 86, of Edwards, Missouri, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2026, at Rest Haven Home in Sedalia.
He was born on September 21, 1939, the son of Chester Whittle and Edna (Haley). Romie grew up in Glasgow, Missouri, where he attended school. He later spent many years working as a truck driver, a career that reflected his strong work ethic and dedication.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Edna, his wife of nearly 20 years, Sharon Dady, his son, Romie Lynn Whittle, a brother Johnny Whittle, and a sister Martha Whittle.
Romie is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Joyce Whittle, of Edwards, Missouri, Lenard Cooper of Edwards, Missouri. He is also survived by grandson, Ryan Whittle and his son Ryan Levi Whittle, Jr., a granddaughter, Missy Bass and her husband, Donnie; grandson, Romie Capell, nine great-grandchildren total; and fifteen great-great-grandchildren. His sister, Nora Renne; two half-brothers, Calvin Harrison and David Harrison; and three half-sisters, Carol Harrison, Donna Stump, and Debbie Rotola, along with many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends who will cherish his memory and miss him dearly.
Arrangements for his cremation are under the direction of Reser Funeral Home, 101 West Main Street, Warsaw, Missouri.
