Tammy S. Lawler, age 67, of Quincy, Missouri passed away Monday, March 10, 2025 at the Centerpoint Hospital in Independence, Missouri. She was born on November 23, 1957 the daughter of Donna (Copp) and Harold Cobb. She was baptized into the faith at L.P. Union Church as a young teen and graduated from Warsaw High School in 1975.
Tammy married after high school, having her first daughter Stacey, in 1979. Tammy worked at Wetzel Clinic for many years and assisted with the ambulance, as a driver. She then worked at Burton-Wathall Ford; where she met her second husband, Gary Lawler, marrying on July 9th 1987. Together with Stacey, they welcomed their second daughter Heather, born in 1988. She then enjoyed a brief time as a stay at home mom while continuing to volunteer for the Jubilee Day’s Committee, Warsaw Rodeo, and managing the Warsaw Municipal Pool during the summer.
Tammy began her career at the Benton County Health Department in 1994 working her way up to Assistant Administrator. She made lifelong friendships along the way and mentored many people; not only in their career but in life. She retired in 2019 to spend more time with her mother and grandson, Levi. In her retirement, she was able to enjoy many adventures on the open sea and sat many hours in the stands cheering on Levi and his teammates. Tammy was an avid seamstress and quilter, who loved putting together different projects for her family and friends.
Tammy is preceded in death by her father Harold and her husband Gary.
She is survived by her mother Donna, her aunt Greeta, her brother Ron (Jill), her daughters Stacey (Mike) and Heather (James) and two grandsons, Lane and Levi. Along with many other family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 16, 2025 at the Reser Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Interment will follow the funeral in the Shawnee Cemetery.
