Mary Montgomery, Educator, National Square dance finalist, coast to coast RV captain, cat lover has departed. Mary of Hutchinson KS, would visit Warsaw, MO, her birthplace each summer to catch up with cousin Blanche, Doctor John and many others. Many wonder and asked why these visits ended abruptly. After Mary’s stroke, her square dance partner took her to a rural care home. Tragically, the family was never able to free her.
Mary was preceded in death by her Parents, Henry Paul Laird and Audrey Edwards and her son Lawrence Mitchell Montgomery.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Blythe and sisters RoseAnn and Janet.
Celebration of Life and farewell services will be on Wednesday November 1, 2023, in the Elliott Mortuary Chapel, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS. Final resting place will be next to her son and parents in Memorial Park Cemetery, 5905 W. 4th Avenue, Hutchinson, KS. Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501, is in charge of the arrangements.
