Frankie Jean Martin, a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on November 5, 2023, peacefully at her home in Edwards Missouri.  She was born on June 30, 1929 in Highland, Oklahoma, the daughter of Jasper Young Bawcom and Myrtae Mae (Melton) Bawcom.

Frankie’s life was marked by the love she shared with her husband, Dale Martin.  She met Dale as a young soldier who had just returned from service and soon after their meeting, they eloped in Lindsburg, Kansas on July 24, 1947.  Their union was blessed with the arrival of five children.

In 1967, Frankie and Dale made their move to Warsaw, Missouri where they built a beautiful life together.  In 1980 they acquired Lake Hills Derby, which became a cherished chapter of their lives until their retirement.

Frankie had a deep love for the Lord, and was a devoted attendee of the Warsaw Bible Church.  She had a passion for reading, sewing, cooking and in her younger years she enjoyed pheasant hunting, trap shooting and playing basketball.  However, above all else, her greatest love and accomplishment was her family.

Frankie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dale Martin, one son, Brad Martin, her parents, four brothers and three sisters. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, and her legacy of love and devotion will continue to inspire generations to come.

She is survived by the love and fond memories in the hearts of her children; Tracey (Jerry) Spry, Debbie (Bill) Bunch, Paula Martin, and Jim (Carmen) Martin, her eleven grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren along with other relatives and many friends.

A memorial service in honor of Frankie Jean Martin will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Reser Funeral Home, with a visitation one hour prior to the services from 10:00 to 11:00 with Pastor Jason McCray officiating. Graveside services will follow the funeral at the Riverside Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Warsaw Bible Church or Forgiven and Free for the House of Hope c/o Reser Funeral Home.
