Bonnie J. Roark

Bonnie June Roark, age 84, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at her home.  She was born on January 19, 1939 in Corder, Missouri to William “Bill” and Ester Mace.
 
She spent most of her childhood near the Sunnyside Community of Benton County, Missouri.  She attended the Sunnyside School then later attended Warsaw High School.  
 
She was united in marriage to Jack Roark on July 9, 1955 in Clinton, Missouri.  They would make their home in the Sunnyside Community. Bonnie later would become a CNA and worked at the Lincoln Community Nursing Home.  She also took sewing classes where she became a talented seamstress and she made clothing for all of her children.  She was an avid canner and gardener and she made homemade bread every week and there wasn’t anything she couldn’t cook.
 
She is preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Barbara J. Medlock and an infant son born in the arms of Jesus, three sisters, JoAnn Brisco, Jean Webster and Betty Scott, and one brother, Jim Mace.
 
She is survived by her husband of over 68 years Jack Roark, of the home, one son Charles Roark (Audrea) of Warsaw, two daughters, Darlene Johnson (Jim) of Warsaw, Kathy Medlock (Rev. Johnny) of Warsaw, 8 grandchildren, Darla (Chad) Ellis, Becki (Todd) Strouphauer, Wendi (Jeremy) Stetina, Elizabeth (Tony) Dominis, Michael (Rashell) Medlock, Matthew (Jaime) Medlock, Gabrielle (Ryan) Rains, Rachel Medlock, 21 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, 3 siblings, Bill (Dorothy) Mace, Wesley (Kathy) Mace, Rosa (Rex) Johnson, a multitude of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
 
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 30, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at the Davis-Miller Funeral Home in Lincoln, Missouri.  A visitation will be held from an hour prior to the funeral service.  Graveside services and interment will follow at the Lincoln Cemetery.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Ozark Tabernacle Church, c/o Davis-Miller Funeral Home, P.O.
