Debra M. Lee

Debra M. Lee, age 66, of Warsaw, passed away Friday, February 24, 2023, peacefully at her home surrounded by her family.  Debra was born on August 25, 1956, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Jesse Owen Cord Jr. and Eileen Louise (Donovan) Cord.  She grew up in St. Louis and graduated from Hazelwood West High School, the class of 1974.
Debra moved to Odessa, Missouri in 1977 and started working for the Missouri State Highway Patrol as a Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officer until moving to Warsaw in 1986. She worked as security at ammunition facility, and also worked in nursing homes as a med tech. She especially loved working and caring for the elderly. She was united in marriage on August 31, 1990, to Douglas Wayne Lee.  Debra lived her life as a devoted wife and mother to five children. 
She gave her heart to the Lord later in life and it changed her life.  She was a faithful member to the Warsaw Assembly of God Church.  Debra enjoyed spending time with the youth group and served as a member of the youth team.  She was a volunteer for the church food pantry, bible school, and gave her testimony often as she mentored young women who were incarcerated with Prison ministries.  She had a servant’s heart and spent a lot of time cooking and baking for the congregation.  She enjoyed crafting, her church family and her grandchildren.  Debra loved each of her children and grandchildren deeply.  She will be missed by all who had the honor of knowing her. 
Debra is preceded in death by her parents Jesse and Eileen Cord, one sister, Donna Sue (Mimi) Cord Whalen and an infant son Jesse Wayne Lee. 
She is survived by her husband Douglas Wayne Lee, of the home, four children: Jason Martinez, of Warsaw, Missouri, Jarred Martinez of Kansas City, Missouri, James Douglas Lee of Warsaw, Missouri, and Katie Rose Lee of Warsaw Missouri, one sister, Catherine Humphreys of Chesterfield, Missouri, twelve grandchildren, two nieces, two nephews, numerous relatives and friends. 
A celebration of life for Debra will be Saturday, April 1, 2023, at 1:00 P.M. at the Warsaw Assembly of God Church, Pastor Chad Banfield and Pastor Brandy Fajen, officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour before the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Hospice Compassus or the Warsaw Assembly of God Youth Program C/O Reser Funeral Home.
