The weather for the Fristoe area has been really great for the last week and the forecast says there will be nice weather for the next five days!
Got really good news saying that Lovely Henderson, daughter of Matt and Holly Henderson was released from the hospital to come home on Saturday; such good news for that family! Also another news break said Delores Prater was moved from the Sedalia hospital to Lincoln healthcare facility to do her rehab. We praise God for both of these answers to prayers. However, we remind everyone to continue to put Lovely and Delores in your prayers as well as Kathy First, Jeanne Wright, Carolee Apperson, Donna Nelson, Lewis and Judy Retherford, Easter Willis, Gladys Harris, Curtis Allen and Mary Scarbrough.
I was not notified of any Christmas festivities that were being held at Antwiler Park and/or Fristoe Community Building. If there was and I missed putting it in the news, I apologize!
In the area that has Hereford and Angus Road you will find the evidence of buggies and horses are using the roads. Now you can even meet young ones coming home from school around 3:00 PM in the afternoon, with 2 or 3 in each buggy! They have learned and now drive themselves to and from school in their buggy. Fristoe has several Amish families in the area now!
A short sentence from Gracie Yoder, as she is having a much blessed time. She is seeing sights and witnessing things involving animals she would not have took part in before now. Keep Gracie and her team in your prayers.
The Fristoe Pentecostal Lighthouse Church distributed the Christmas treats and snacks the church enjoys every Christmas season. They all enjoyed oranges, apples, with all kinds of candy and each one received a nice Devotion for each one. Sunday School class for adults was from the book of Matthew Chapter 7. It was more of the lesson that has been covered for the last three weeks. The main points covered being careful how we judge others and also to beware of false profits! Specials were sung by Br. Dave with Br. Ken and a special was sung by Br. Dave with sister Connie, Brenda, Ken and Tony. A wonderful job on spiritual music. Br. Smith's message came from the book of Luke Chapter 1 beginning with verse 30. It was the one where the Angel visited Mary telling her she would give birth to our Savior.
Thought for the week: People find out what you are not by hearing what you say, but seeing what you do!
Wanting everyone that reads the Fristoe News to have a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year!
