James P. Williams, Jr.

James Pertle Williams, Jr., age 81, of Warsaw, Missouri passed away Saturday, March 25, 2023 at the Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia, Missouri.  He was born on March 29, 1941 in Benton County, Missouri the son of James Pertle Williams, Sr. and Hazel (Breshears) Williams.  He grew up in Benton County, between Fristoe and Avery.
On September 12, 1959 he was united in marriage to Dianne Martin.  They made their home in Lee’s Summit, Missouri where he was employed as an Operations Manager for Rich-Con Steel for thirty-five years.  He retired in 1999 and returned to Benton County.
Junior loved to hunt and fish.  He loved to ride horses and motorcycles, go snow skiing and many weekend nights you could find him square dancing with friends.  Junior was a member of the Benton County Cattlemen’s Association and he attended the First United Methodist Church in Warsaw.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Pertle and Hazel Williams and a sister, Sue Miller.
Junior is survived by his wife, Dianne Williams, of the home, four children; Ty Williams (Linda), of Warsaw, Troy Williams, of Independence, Missouri, Tim Williams (Amy), of Watertown, Tennessee and Janelle Williams, of Warsaw, fourteen grandchildren; Jason (Samantha), Stephanie (Eric), Stacie (Jake), Justin (Ganelle), Travis (Jessica), Jeremy, Wesley (Nathan), Sara, Haley, Meredith, Iris, Amanda (Patrick), Allison (Uzair) and Andrew, fourteen great-grandchildren; Isabelle, Elias, Alyssa, Arcayde, Raelin, Rilee, Jameson, Saige, Gentrie, Everett, Kylee, Baylee, Maverick and Ellee.
Funeral services for Junior Willams will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 1, 2023 at the First United Methodist Church in Warsaw.  Visitation will be held Friday evening, March 31st at the Reser Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.  Interment will follow the funeral at the Spring Branch Cemetery in Avery, Missouri.  Snacks will be provided at the Spring Branch Church following the burial.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church or the Spring Branch Cemetery.
