Lela M. Plumlee, age 93, of Lincoln passed away Saturday August 12, 2023 at the Warsaw Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on January 16, 1930 in Bonner Springs, Kansas the daughter of Levi and Ethel Jackson.
Lela was united in marriage to Gynn Ernest Plumlee on July 27, 1946. They made their home in the Kansas City area until moving to Lincoln in the mid 1970’s. From this union ten children were born. Lela enjoyed reading books, dancing and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two children that passed in infancy, a son Ron, great great grandbaby Liam and numerous brothers and sisters.
Lela is survived by seven children; Jenny Franke, deceased spouse Neil of Grain Valley, Missouri, Cathy Jackson, deceased spouse Jim, of Everton, Missouri, Carol Johnson, spouse Russell of Sedalia, Missouri, Candy Jackson, spouse James Sr, of Warsaw, Missouri, Debbie Ball, spouse Michael, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Cindy Carrier, deceased spouse Ron Plumlee, of Lamont Missouri ,Laurel Johnson, deceased spouse Jamie of Gassville, Arkansas and Kelly Cline, spouse Elgin, of Lincoln, Missouri, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, great great grandchildren,other relatives and friends.
Memorial Services for Lela M. Plumlee will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, August 17, 2023 at the Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw. Internment will follow at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Lincoln. In lieu of flowers, please make any donations to the Warsaw Health and Rehab.
