Mary Jane Swanson age 79 passed into her heavenly reward on Friday, April 7, 2023, at Pine Lodge Residential Care Facility in Buffalo, Missouri.
Mary was born on November 28, 1943, in Fristoe, Missouri to the late Hilmer and Annis (Kincaid) Swanson. Mary dedicated her life to serving the Lord. She was a minister, played the piano and loved to sing hymns of praise. She served as pastor at Pentecostal Lighthouse Church in Fristoe, Missouri for two years. At the time of her passing, she was a member of the Full Gospel Church in Buffalo, Missouri.
Outside of her service in the church, Mary served others by working for the Social Security Administration for twenty-two years. She worked as a court recorder during that time.
Mary’s kind and serving spirit will be missed by all she blessed. We find hope and peace knowing that she is with her Lord.
Mary was preceded by her parents, brothers Eugene Swanson, George Swanson, Donald Swanson, John Swanson, and one sister Martha Warstadt. She is survived by sister Barbara Allen of Plano, Texas, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and beloved friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 17, 2023, at Cantlon-Otterness and Viets Funeral Home in Buffalo, Missouri. Following services, Mary will be laid to rest at Memorial Garden Cemetery in Buffalo, Missouri.
