Mary Lou Kirksey

Mary Lou Kirksey, 94, of Camden, Arkansas, formerly of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023. She was born on June 17,1928, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Loyd and Edith Bresee. Her family later moved to Warsaw, Missouri, where she spent her growing-up years. She graduated from Warsaw High School and Central Missouri State College in Warrensburg, Missouri, with a degree in Business Education. After college, she moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma, where she began her career as a secretary at Phillips Petroleum Company. She later met and married Bill Kirksey. They made their home in Bartlesville and raised a family. Six years ago, she moved to Camden, Arkansas, to be closer to family.  
She is preceded in death by her parents, Loyd and Edith Bresee, her husband Bill Kirksey, her sister, Ruthie Guthrie of LaGrange, Georgia, and her brother, Bill Bresee, of Des Moines, Iowa. 
She is survived by her two sons, Andy Kirksey (Eddie Jo) of Camden, Arkansas, and Tim Kirksey (Michelle) of Durham, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Chris Kirksey of Camden, Arkansas, Anna Kirksey of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Noah and Lydia Kirksey of Durham, North Carolina. 
A private family graveside service will be held at a later date in Rogers, AR. In lieu of flowers the family would ask to make a donation to the charity of your choice. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
