Nadine Griffin

Macie Nadine Griffin, age 87, fell asleep in death at the family farm on Saturday, August 19, 2023.  She was born on March 13, 1936 to Pete and Evelyn Cockrum in Mountain Home, Arkansas where she was 1 of 8 children.
She was united in marriage on November 26, 1951 in Harrison, Arkansas to John Griffin of Gainesville, Missouri.  From that union came 6 children.  John and Nadine made a home in Gainesville, Missouri and later in Mountain Home, Arkansas. 
Nadine dedicated her life to Jehovah on May 9, 1964 and symbolized that dedication by water baptism in Arkansas.
In 1972, John and Nadine moved to Warsaw, Missouri.  The Truman Dam Project brought several witness families to the Area.  A congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses was formed in Warsaw.  Nadine was a member of that congregation and remained a member until her death.  She was a very faithful and loyal sister.  She set a good example for her family.  She was able to see some of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren dedicate their lives to Jehovah as well.
Nadine was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, John Griffin, one son, Monty Griffin and 2 grandsons, Chad Griffin and Billy Paxton, 4 brothers and one sister.
Nadine is survived by 5 children, Johnny Griffin (Janice) of Warsaw, Clyde Griffin of Parrottsville, Tennessee, Brenda Piers (Mike) of Warsaw, Glenda Paxton (Bill) of Warsaw, Todd Griffin (April) of Warsaw, 15 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren plus 1 on-the-way, 4 great-great grandchildren plus 1 on-the-way, other relatives and friends.
Memorial services for Nadine will be held on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at the Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah's Witnesses with Ken Madison, officiating.
