A Celebration of Life will be held for Robin G. Suhl, on Sunday, May 28, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at the Church of Christ, 20747 Hwy 65 in Lincoln, MO.
Robin Gary Suhl was born September 19, 1940, the only son of Theola (Renfro) and Lee Suhl, in Sedalia, MO.  Robin grew up in Lincoln, MO and attended Lincoln High School where he played football and the trumpet in the band, graduating with the class of 1958.
He went on to Central Missouri State College in Warrensburg, MO, where he studied English and graduated in 1962 with his BS Degree in Education and Special Preparation in Physical Education.  While at CMSC he played in the marching band, sang in the choir, and was an active member of student ministry with the Wesley Foundation.
Upon graduating, Robin taught English, physical education, driver's education, and coached high school football and basketball at several Missouri high schools.
He was an avid life-long trumpet player and history buff and loved to hunt in his younger days.  He also had a beautiful baritone voice.
Robin moved to McAllen, Texas, in October 1999, where he met Olga.  They were married on February 13, 2000, at Laurel Heights Church of Christ in McAllen.  Together with Olga, Robin was an active member at Laurel Heights where he happily served in any way needed.  He also financially supported the ministry at Lincoln Church of Christ in Lincoln, MO.  He continued to serve as a substitute teacher for all three McAllen high schools for the next many years.
Robin passed away on the morning of April 23, 2023, after a long and hard fought battle with cancer, with Olga and (his trusty mixed breed canine companion, Katie) by his side.
A Celebration of Life was held on April 29, 2023, at Valley Memorial Garden, Mission, TX.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his mother-in-law, Arcelia Garcia, and aunts and uncles.
He is survived by Olga T. Suhl, his wife of 23 years; his three daughters by marriage, Michelle (Trent Harrison), Melanie (Frederic Spindler), and Jennifer (Gabriel Rodriguez); grandchildren Meredith, Ethan, Jett, Elizabeth, Wyatt, Mateo, Raquel, Zoe, and Esteban; sister-in-law Lupita Ramirez, and beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Robin was a son, a husband, a granddad, a friend, a teacher, and a servant.  He was funny and sober-minded, loving and lovable, silly and wise, flawed and sanctified, and through it all he was steadfast in the race laid before him, running with endurance, assured that the prize of seeing his Savior face to face awaited him.  We will miss Grandpa Robin, but we rejoice that he has gained his reward and crown of glory!
But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, and he will stand upon the earth at last.  And after my body has decayed, yet without my body, I will see God.  I will see him for myself.  Yes, I will see him with my own eyes.  I am overwhelmed at the thought!   Job 19:25-27
