Sammy Leroy Martin unexpectedly passed away in his home in Lebanon Missouri with his best friend Sugar his dog by his side on June 25th 2023.  He was born June 15, 1947 to Glenn and Frances Martin.  
Sam met Sally Johnson in high school, and they were married on August 8, 1964. During that marriage there were four daughters born; RexAnna, Dorothy, Leslie, and Glenda. In 1982 they divorced.  He married Jennifer Mullinex of Warsaw Missouri in 1983 and they had one daughter, Samantha Martin. They divorced in 1999.
Sam was an over the rode truck driver for many years. Sam enjoyed fishing, hunting for arrow heads, watching movies, but mostly making people laugh. He was quick witted, which always made him fun to be around. Sam will be missed by all.
Sam met Paula Hoskins and they shared the last 20 years. They shared their time with their beloved pets Gabby and Sugar. They led many exciting adventures, they made the most of their lives and conquered many obstacles together.
Sam was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Burton; his father, Glenn Martin; his grandmother, Dorothy Walker; two brothers, Raymond and John Martin; stepfather, Rex Ambrose; two grandsons, Jaron Leach and Beau Fournier; and beloved pet, Gabby.  He is survived by his five daughters, RexAnna Kreisel (Clay Kreisel) of Warsaw, Dorothy Dashiell of Fort Myers Florida, Leslie Routh of Richmond Missouri, Glenda Burnett (Mike Burnett) of
Hallsville Missouri, and Samantha McCleary (Edward McCleary) of Buffalo Missouri; companion, Paula Hoskins of Lebanon Missouri; two sisters,  Sandy Carter (Jeff Carter) of Kansas City Missouri and Sherry Stracener (Tay) of Kansas City Missouri; stepsister, Terry Overbey McDaniel of Grey Kentucky; cousin, Curtis and Martha Craven of Warsaw Missouri; 10 grandchildren, Cole Kreisel, Haeley Eichler, Sam Leach, Amanda Melloway, Arry Blake Martin, Judy Kay Tatum, Colette Martin, Cody Melloway, Averie and Aubrie McCleary; 25 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Sugar.
A Celebration of Life will be held on July 4th at 4:00 pm at the Kreisel Farm in Warsaw Missouri.
