Verna Louise Lubke, age 87 of Warsaw, Missouri, formerly of Coal Valley, Illinois, passed away Friday evening May 5, 2023 at the Meyer Care Center in Higginsville, Missouri. She was born on June 27, 1935 in Burlington, Iowa to Cyrus and Aletha (Boyd) Folker.
She was united in marriage to Clair Lubke on June 27, 1954 in Monmouth, Illinois. They made their home in Coal Valley, Illinois where she was employed at Jaydon Packing.
Verna was a member of the American Legion Post #217 Ladies Auxiliary in Warsaw, the Paradise Point Ladies Club and was a neighborhood mother to many.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one son, Craig W. Lubke Sr., 7 brothers, Cyrus Folker, Dale Folker, Marvin Folker, Norman Folker, Robert Folker, Paul Folker and Steve Folker, 4 sisters, Virginia Carnes, Verlene Butts, Joyce Rutledge and Sharon Folker.
She is survived by her husband, Clair Lubke, of the home, one daughter, Cindy Blissett, of Bulpitt, Illinois, 7 grandsons, Brandon Lubke, Craig Lubke (Lindsay), Chad Blissett (Brittany), Eric Lubke (Codie), Corey Blissett, Cody Blissett (Shelby), Chase Blissett (Allison), 7 great grandchildren, 3 siblings, Ronald Folker (Ellen), Jim Folker (Roxie) and Delores Moser (Ed), several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. at the Reser Funeral Home on Friday May 12, 2023. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the services from 11:00 to 12:00 on Friday. Graveside services and interment will be at the Fredonia Cemetery near Warsaw. Memorial contributions may be made to the Disable American Veterans c/o Reser Funeral Home, P.O.
